Le Maupas A.R. (Artists Residency) is a ceramic art and design center situated in a small village in the east of the Morvan region in the Burgundy province of France. It is a non-profit foundation that encourages the use of ceramics in sculptural design by offering working space, technical facilities, and knowledge at cost price.

Le Maupas A.R. is a production center for professional artists of all disciplines. The residency offers two main tracks:
- Individual Residency: Focusing on the research and development of the artist.
- Project-Based Residency: Where one can appeal to the technical expertise of the counselor. The artistic quality, attainability, size, and duration of the residency will be determined based on a plan of action proposed by the artist.

Eligibility:
- Who: Professional artists of all disciplines. There are no formal requirements, but artists must provide a clear plan of action.
- Family/Guests: The large rooms at the "relais" can optionally be deployed as a studio for artistic activities other than ceramics, or as accommodation for partners and/or children.
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Ceramic Studio: Access to computer-controlled electric kilns, a gas kiln, test kilns, dilatometer, spraybooth, clay mixers, an extruder, and a glaze laboratory with raw materials and 50 different pigments.
- Designer Studio: Access to an electric wheel, jigger, vertical plaster lathe, modest silkscreen facilities, welding equipment, a metal circular saw, and various hand tools for sculpting.
- Accommodation: Provided at the "relais" just one door away. Includes private rooms (with wireless internet), a modern common kitchen, shared bathrooms, a scullery with laundry facilities, and a library/presentation room.
Application Fee & Program Costs:
- Self-Funded Program: The contribution covered by the artist will be determined in consultation with the artist and will depend on the plan of action.
- Base Cost: The minimal amount is €300 per week.
- Additional Costs: Costs covering the electricity for the kilns and material use will be calculated separately.
- Technical Assistance: Available for €45 per hour.
- (Note: The foundation encourages residents to acquire funding themselves and can provide their policy plan in English or Dutch to support your grant applications).
