LiTE-HAUS offers a 2 ½ week intensive artist residency program and exhibition in the heart of Berlin's vibrant art scene. The program allows artists to expand and improve their practice in a serene and professional environment.

Title & Description:

LiTE-HAUS Intensive Artist Residency & Exhibition (April-May) This residency is a 2 ½ week intensive program conducted in the English language, scheduled for April to May. The program includes work stations, guidance, development, collaboration, critique, connection with art professionals, insight into the inner workings of a culture space, and working directly with the program team leaders. The ideal candidates are artists who want to find or strengthen their artistic voice while also gaining knowledge about how art spaces operate. This is a self-guided residency. Artists may work from home or in LiTE-HAUS during the residency. However, we encourage artists to work at our space as often as possible to engage with the team and with fellow creators, to take full advantage of what this residency offers.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Artists of all ages, and at any stage of their careers may apply - from students to established artists.

  • Origin: This residency is open to international artists, not just Berlin residents.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Exhibition: Residency artists have the opportunity to exhibit in a group exhibition at the end of the residency, although artists are not required to participate.

  • Lodging: Lodging is available at LiTE-HAUS depending on which option you choose. We have two private rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen. The rooms serve as both studio and sleeping quarters.

No entry fee. Program Costs (if selected):

  • COST (BERLIN ARTISTS): €400 (50% €200 non-refundable deposit due upon registration).

  • COST (international artists): €700 (50% €350 non-refundable deposit due upon registration).

  • COST (with lodging): €1,900 (50% €950 non-refundable deposit due upon registration).

  • Registration + 50% deposit due by: March 7.

  • Fee balance due by: April 18.

  • Residency: April 22 - May 4.

  • Art installation: May 5 - 6.

  • Opening/Vernissage: May 7 (6pm-9pm).

  • Exhibition: May 8 - 9.

  • Dismantle: May 10.
