Luxembourg Art Week, in collaboration with artcontemporain.lu asbl and with the support of the City of Luxembourg, presents the third edition of (capsules). This initiative is part of the off-site ART WALK program, designed to activate urban spaces and bring contemporary art into the daily lives of residents and visitors.

Luxembourg Art Week 2026: Capsules 2026.
This project invites contemporary artists to transform vacant storefronts and billboard spaces in Luxembourg City center into ephemeral art installations. Visible to the public 24/7, these "capsules" serve as a bridge between professional artistic practice and the public realm. The organizers are seeking proposals that are conceptually strong and suitable for unrestricted viewing in the heart of the city.

Eligibility
- Experience: Open to both emerging and established artists with a consistent professional practice and a track record of exhibitions.
- Scope: Artists of all nationalities, ages, and backgrounds are welcome.
- Project Types: Proposals may include existing works adapted for a storefront context or brand-new site-specific concepts.
- Geography: Works must be available for transport and installation within Europe.
Program Benefits and Awards
- Artist Fee: €950 (incl. VAT) as a fee and/or production contribution.
- Travel & Stay: Covered travel expenses and accommodation in Luxembourg.
- Logistics: The organizers cover artwork transport (round trip within Europe), scenography, and technical installation.
- Visibility: Professional exposure as part of the official Luxembourg Art Week off-site program.
Fees
- Application Fee: None (Free to apply).
Application Requirements
- Project Proposal: Description of the installation (max. 1,800 characters).
- Visuals: Installation sketches and/or visual materials.
- Artist Kit: CV, portfolio, 3 high-resolution images of work (300 dpi), and 2 artist portraits.
- Legal: Signed Terms & Conditions.

Additional Details
The selection committee features a prestigious panel of directors from European art institutions, including Patricia Couvet (Synagogue de Delme) and Delphine Munro (Casino Luxembourg). Selected works must be durable and safe for 24-hour public display in street-level windows.
