Applications are open for the Autumn 2026 cohort of the MA Performance Practices.
This highly vocational Master’s degree program welcomes artists seeking to advance their careers through practice-as-research in performance art, choreography, contemporary theatre, live art, and somatic practices. The program operates on a full-time basis (4 to 5 days per week). While permanent residence in Arnhem is not strictly required and students may commute, physical presence during the intensive teaching blocks is mandatory.

Eligibility:
- Who: Performance practitioners with a BA or equivalent degree and sufficient professional experience.
- Requirements: Non-EU candidates must be eligible to obtain a long-stay student visa (MVV) and a residence permit (VVR) for the Netherlands prior to enrollment. Proof of English proficiency (e.g., IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 80) is required.

Program Costs:
- EU Tuition: Approximately €2,601 EUR per year (statutory fee based on 25/26 rates).
- Non-EU Tuition: Higher institutional fees apply. Non-EU students must also provide a financial guarantee to the Dutch Immigration Service to secure a visa.
- Students are responsible for their own housing, travel, and living expenses.
Application Requirements:
The application is a multi-stage process. First, candidates must register via the Dutch national database, Studielink. Then, upload the following documents:
- Motivation Letter: (Warning: ArtEZ strictly prohibits the use of AI in this letter. Fully AI-generated letters will not be considered).
- CV.
- Portfolio: Up to 6 links to videos, websites, or photos of your work.
- Academic Records: A copy of your BA diploma and transcripts (with certified translations if not in English, Dutch, or German).
- ID: A copy of your passport or EU-ID.
Shortlisted applicants will be assigned a "home task" video presentation, followed by a two-day live collaborative audition in Arnhem (or online), and a final individual interview.
