We are excited to announce our OPEN CALL for Issue 17 of Maake Magazine, curated by Emily Carol Burns.

EARLY Deadline: Monday, July 07, 2025 at 11:59pm EST

REGULAR Deadline: Monday, July 28, 2025 at 11:59pm EST

LATE Deadline: Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:59pm EST

Artists making work in all media are encouraged to apply. There are no restrictions. Applicants can be based anywhere in the world.

Selection for this issue includes:

  • Work featured in print issue of the magazine (two pages)
  • One copy of Maake Magazine (We can only ship within the United States)
  • Artist Feature on Maake’s Instagram and website
  • Artist Interview and accompanying gallery of work posted on the Maake website
  • Future consideration for upcoming exhibitions and projects

Eligibility & Terms:

  • Artists must be 18 years old or older to apply
  • Artists may submit up to 6 works
  • Artists working in all media are welcome to apply
  • Artists working anywhere in the world are welcome to apply

Please submit between 2–6 images of work (or video or other media)

Notification
Artists will be notified of the results of the open call by late August, 2025. Due to the submission software we use, only artists who are selected will be notified via email. Final results will also be posted on our website.
