Short Description

The McClure Gallery is now accepting submissions for its 2026-2027 exhibition programme. Contemporary artists of all media and curators with an exhibition proposal are invited to apply.

Eligibility

  • McClure Gallery pays CARFAC-based artist exhibition rights fees (A.1.1 solo, A.1.3 group).
  • McClure Gallery is an integral part of the Visual Arts Centre and favours projects that are aligned with its mandate. Your proposal should describe why you want to show your work here specifically. In keeping with its mandate, the McClure Gallery prioritizes submissions from contemporary artists living in the province of Quebec, but does not exclude artists from other provinces or countries.

Submission Requirements

  1. 10-20 digital images in .JPG format (max. 1.5 MB each) and/or links to video excerpts (8 minutes max.) of recent work. N.B. DO NOT submit images within a PDF document. Proposals submitted as a single PDF document will not be evaluated by the committee.
  2. Three separate PDF files:
    • List of images, including the following: artist’s name, title of artwork, year completed, medium/technique, dimensions in centimetres.
    • Curriculum vitae (max. 3 pages).
    • Short description of your art practice and proposed project (max. 2 pages).
  3. Digital file names must be in the following format:
    JPG files:
    01InitialsYearTitle.jpg 
    (image number, applicant’s initials, year artwork completed, abbreviated artwork title)
    PDF files:
    lastname_list.pdf
    lastname_cv.pdf
    lastname_project.pdf
