Open Call: Program Director – Mekong Cultural Hub (MCH)
MCH is seeking a visionary and collaborative Program Director to join its dynamic team during a pivotal strategic expansion. This leadership role is designed for an individual dedicated to the intersection of Visual Arts, Culture, and social change. The Program Director will lead multi-year planning, allocate resources, and ensure the delivery of high-quality programs tailored to the needs of grassroots artists. This is an invitation to shape the direction of a regional network that influences structural issues and advocates for the role of the arts in human rights and higher education.

The Role Overview

  • Salary: $2,200 – $2,500 USD monthly (Starting, negotiable based on location).
  • Contract Type: 2 years for consultants / Undefined duration for employees.
  • Probation Period: 3 months.
  • Reporting to: Managing Director, Living Arts International.
  • Direct Reports: Program Manager (Fellowships & Training) and Program Manager (Networks & Alliances).
  • Leave Entitlement: 35 Days Annual Leave (inclusive of national holidays and personal leave).

Position & Tasks

The Program Director is responsible for the strategic and operational success of MCH’s programming. Key tasks include:

  • Strategic Planning: Designing projects aligned with the 2030 objectives, including scaling professional qualifications in Art and Social Action.
  • Project Leadership: Directing major initiatives such as the Meeting Point on Art & Social Action in Asia.
  • Partnership Building: Nurturing alliances within the arts, research, and human rights sectors.
  • Financial Oversight: Developing and monitoring annual program budgets and financial reports.
  • Team Support: Providing mentorship to Program Managers and external collaborators like Curators and facilitators.

Eligibility

  • Citizenship: Must be an Asian citizen and currently resident in Southeast Asia.
  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of program management experience (design, planning, and budget control).
  • Skills: High proficiency in English (written and spoken); strong networking capabilities.
  • Attributes: Creative and compassionate mindset with a deep interest in supporting grassroots creatives.

Additional Details
