Mondriaan Fund Residency 2026 – International Opportunities for Artistic Development
This residency program offers professional visual artists, curators, and art observers a chance to engage in an intensive working period at recognized studios or institutions, either in the Netherlands or abroad. The residency grant covers essential expenses such as travel, accommodation, and material costs, giving participants the freedom to focus fully on their creative process. Residents are encouraged to develop new work, experiment with different media, and expand their professional network. The program is open to a variety of project proposals, including research-oriented residencies, production-focused residencies, and collaborative international initiatives. Applicants may also propose curatorial residencies, where they can develop exhibitions, workshops, or educational programming.

Eligibility
- Open to professional visual artists, curators, or art observers with at least one year of professional experience.
- Active practice in visual arts, cultural heritage, or curatorial projects.
- Applicants based in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom are eligible.
- Full-time students enrolled in Bachelor, Master, or Postdoc programs are generally excluded (part-time under 20 hours per week is allowed).
- Applicants must be able to commit to the residency period and adhere to the specific studio or institution guidelines.
