Short Description

Moving Identities is a cross-border residency program for performing artists, focusing on themes of European identities, diversity, and inclusion. The program supports artists with three paid residencies (one in their home country, two abroad) and includes mentorship, workshops, networking, and career development.

Residency Duration: September 2025 – June 2026

Three residencies, 10 days each (plus 2 travel days for international ones)

Residency Locations: Denmark, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Latvia

 

Eligibility

Performing arts groups (minimum 2 people) in performance, dance, or theatre

Must be residents (not necessarily citizens) of Denmark, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Spain, or Latvia

Must have a valid work permit in the country of residence

Groups must have a producer/self-producing artist for administrative tasks

Priority for underrepresented artists in European performing arts

Not open to full-time students

 

Group Size Limits

Spain & Germany: Max 3 members

Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Latvia: Max 5 members

Residency Commitments

Attend three 10-day residencies (fixed dates)

Engage in workshops, mentoring, networking, and strategy planning

Work collaboratively with local artists and residency partners

Participate in slow travel practices for sustainability

Join online meetings and feedback sessions

 

Application Process

Apply as a group through the online application form.

Group CV (PDF)

Artistic vision & project proposal (PDF or 2-6 min video link)

Selection is two-stage:

Local venue shortlists 2-4 groups

Final selection by all 6 venues (June 2025)

Program conducted in English (support available if needed)

Inclusive & accessible to artists of all abilities
