The Museo Ciäsa Granda in Stampa, Switzerland, is the valley museum of the Bregaglia, covering areas of Art, culture, history, and nature. The museum is nationally and internationally recognized for the Atelier Giacometti and the works of Alberto, Giovanni, Diego, and Augusto Giacometti, as well as Varlin. Operated by the Fondazione Museo Ciäsa Granda e Atelier Giacometti, the museum is open from early June to late October each year. Since 2023, it has been undergoing a comprehensive renewal, including restoration and expansion of its 16th-century building, updates to the permanent exhibitions, and professionalization of museum operations.Title & Description

The museum seeks an experienced museum director to lead operations and contribute to shaping the future of the Museo Ciäsa Granda. The role includes oversight of museum management, collection care, exhibition planning, and implementation of temporary exhibitions. The director will play a central role in the “Nuovo Museo Ciäsa Granda e Atelier Giacometti” project, responsible for updating and renewing the permanent exhibitions while promoting the museum’s visibility nationally and internationally. This position offers the opportunity to work in a rich cultural environment in the Bregaglia Valley, home of the famous Giacometti family, and to actively influence the museum’s strategic direction.Role Overview

- Overall responsibility for museum operations
- Care, conservation, and promotion of museum collections
- Conceptualization, planning, and realization of temporary exhibitions
- Operational and administrative management of the museum
- Active collaboration in the “Nuovo Museo Ciäsa Granda e Atelier Giacometti” project, including renewal of permanent exhibitions
- Contribute to professionalization and development of museum activities
