Brief Description

La Napoule Art Foundation (LNAF) offers multiple artist residencies to foster cultural exchange and artistic creation. The program provides selected artists with accommodation, studio space, and most meals in a historic setting in France.

  • International Artist Residency: October 6 – November 3, 2025
  • Canadian Artist Residency: November 6 – December 4, 2025 (For Canadian artists only)
  • CASA CINE Film Residency: Open to film composers, screenwriters, and directors
  • Deadline:
    • International & Canadian Artist Residencies: March 3, 2025
    • CASA CINE Film Residency: February 15, 2025

Eligibility

  • Open to emerging and established artists over 18, across all artistic disciplines and nationalities.
  • Canadian Artist Residency is limited to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
  • Participants must communicate in English or French.
  • The facilities are not handicap accessible.

Theme

Artists are encouraged to create work that impacts the world for the common good and engage in cultural exchange during their residency.

How to Apply

  • Submit an application through the SlideRoom portal.
  • Artists may apply once per calendar year.
  • Couples must apply separately; family, friends, children, and pets are not allowed.

Submission Requirements

  • Artist statement and work samples demonstrating a clear artistic vision.
  • Evidence of professional-level work and commitment to artistic practice.
  • Explanation of how the residency will support their project.

Selection Process

Applications are reviewed by an international panel based on:

  • Clarity of artistic vision
  • Commitment and professionalism
  • Impact of the residency on the applicant’s project
  • Willingness to collaborate and interact with other artists
