NOIA Magazine is an independent, ad-free publication founded in 2021. The name "NOIA" is the Italian word for boredom, reflecting the magazine’s roots in slow, thoughtful creative collaboration. The organization functions as a collective platform for artists, designers, photographers, writers, and other creatives to explore pressing contemporary issues. Based on an international model, NOIA produces themed issues that merge diverse visual perspectives and intellectual voices. As a self-funded and passion-driven initiative, it prioritizes artistic integrity and collaborative spirit over commercial interests.

Open Call – Art Director (Issue 05)
NOIA Magazine is seeking a visiting Art Director for its upcoming fifth issue. This is a unique, collaborative role where the selected individual will work closely with the Creative Director and Editor-in-Chief to shape the entire lifecycle of the publication. The Art Director is responsible for helping define the issue’s central theme, selecting content from contributors, and crafting the visual identity and aesthetic of the magazine. This opportunity is designed for creatives who want to influence the narrative and design of an independent international publication from the ground up.

Eligibility
This is an international open call open to creatives worldwide. As the role is fully remote, there are no geographic restrictions on where the applicant is based. Applicants should have a strong background in visual arts or design and a clear, distinctive aesthetic. Because the team operates internationally, all applicants must be proficient in English, as all submissions and internal communications are conducted in English.
