Short Description
NOoSPHERE Arts’ Residency Award @ Kingsland Wildflowers is an annual open-call contest for unique, site-specific installations created by local artists for our green rooftops. Typically, the winning proposal is displayed on the Upper Meadow of the Kingsland Wildflowers rooftop community center throughout the outdoor season. The program aims to showcase non-intrusive, sustainable artwork that highlights our one-of-a-kind surroundings and encourages reflection on the environment and the mission and vision of the WE ARE NATURE series.
The theme for the 2025 is The Microcosmic Dance

Submission Requirements
1) Work Samples:
Choose up to 7 digital images of your best work from the past three years. Your files must be in jpg format, max 1MB in size, and named as follows:Your Last Name_Your First Name_Entry Number_Title of Work_Medium_Year of Production, (e.g. Picasso_Pablo_1_Guernica_Painting_1937)
For applicants submitting video and/or sound works, please provide URL(s). Max 7 mins. If longer, we’ll only look at the initial 7 minutes. Hence, trailers are preferred to full-length films.
2) Proposal:
In a SINGLE-PAGE* PDF-document named Your Last Name_Your First Name_KWBS Award 2025, please provide the following information:

How to Apply
In an email with the subject line: Residency Award 2025, attach a Zip folder named Your Last Name_Your First Name_KWBS Award 2025 containing your 7 jpgs and 1-pg PDF Proposal (*a second page allowed for conceptual sketches only). Your complete Zip folder — no other compression format will be accepted — must be sent as an attachment; please do not upload your material to WeTransfer or any other storage service with expiring links. In the body of your message, please copy and paste the same Personal Details appearing in your Proposal, i.e. the data listed under item 2a) above — nothing more, nothing less.

Program Benefits & Awards
The award winner receives $2000 for artist fees, transport, materials & supplies, and all other production expenses.
