Organizer Information

PART International Art Residency Austria is a newly established residency program located in the historic Southern Pavilion of the Praterateliers in Vienna. Originally built for the 1873 World’s Fair, the site has long been part of Austria’s artistic ecosystem and was recently refurbished (2023–2025) to meet modern ecological standards. Commissioned by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport (BMWKMS), PART supports artistic research, interdisciplinary exchange, and transnational collaboration. The residency hosts international artists, curators, and theorists while offering deep engagement with Austria’s social, ecological, and cultural landscapes.
