Organizer Information:

PARL (Performance Art Research Ljubljana) is an intensive platform for creative development in contemporary performing arts. The program is produced in collaboration with the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (AGRFT) and a network of leading producers in Ljubljana's independent scene, including Via Negativa, Maska, and Pekinpah.

Title & Description:

Applications are open for PARL 2026, a 10-day research and development program for performance art makers.

The program provides a supportive environment for artists who need space and time to research, develop projects, and open up their collaborative networks. The course of work focuses on the development of creative processes and performative strategies through daily feedback from coaches and morning classes led by experienced artists.

The residency culminates in a public presentation of works in progress, offering participants an opportunity to test their ideas and gain visibility within the Ljubljana art scene.

Eligibility:

  • Experience: Applicants must have a BA in performing arts (or related areas) and at least three finished projects OR at least five years of practice with three finished projects as an author.

  • Groups: Open to individual artists and artistic groups (groups apply with a single form).

  • Age/Language: No age limit. Working language is English.

  • Selection: Only 5 applications will be accepted.

Participation Fee: €350.
