Cromer Artspace presents Print Cromer 2026 at Artspace on the Prom. This exhibition is curated by Sally Hirst and focuses on showcasing the breadth and depth of contemporary original printmaking.
Title & Description:
The theme for this edition is "FOUND." Artists are invited to interpret this theme through various lenses: the use of altered found objects, layering found materials to create visual narratives, or exploring themes of family history and nostalgia. It also encompasses environmental statements regarding sustainability and discarded materials, or finding inspiration in poetry, music, and the past.

Eligibility:
- Who: Printmakers aged 16 and over (amateurs, students, and professionals).
- Work Requirements: Pieces must have been created within the last 12 months.
- Scope: International. (Note: Artists are responsible for all delivery and collection costs to/from the UK).
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Exhibition: Inclusion in a curated group exhibition at Artspace on the Prom from June 20 to July 10, 2026.
- Exposure: Work will be reviewed by a professional selection panel including Neil Bousfield, Craig Frost, Elenor Ling, and Vanessa Lubach.
Submission Fees & Sales:
Fees are tiered based on the number of entries:

- Commission: Cromer Artspace takes a 20% commission on all sales. Work can be marked as "Not for Sale" (NFS) if preferred.
Technical Requirements:
- Size: Maximum framed size of A2 (42 x 59.4cm) or smaller.
- Display: Framed work must have D-rings for hanging. Unframed work (such as artists' books) is accepted with clear display instructions.
- Originality: Must be an original print manually printed by the artist or under their direct supervision from a block, stone, plate, or screen.
How to Apply?
Submit digital JPEG files (max 3MB each) via the online form on the Cromer Artspace website. Applicants may include up to 50 words summarizing how the work responds to the "FOUND" brief.
Key Dates:
- Application Deadline: May 15, 2026 (11:59 PM).
- Artist Notification: May 25, 2026.
- Delivery of Work: June 16 (12 PM - 4 PM) or June 17 (4:30 PM - 6 PM).
- Exhibition Dates: June 20 – July 10, 2026.
- Collection of Unsold Work: July 12, 2026 (10 AM - 2 PM).
