Title & Description

Prix Namosa de Prométhéa 2026
The Prix Namosa is an open call for cultural, creative, or artistic projects intended to enhance the aesthetic and social fabric of Namur and its surrounding areas. The competition seeks both material projects (such as permanent sculptures, frescoes, or physical installations) and immaterial projects (such as festivals, theater performances, or digital events). The core purpose is to support initiatives that benefit the public at large—visible to all and accessible to everyone. Whether it is the creation of a new landmark or the innovative renovation of an existing site, the project must demonstrate a clear commitment to the local community and the public space.

Categories

  • Visual Arts: Permanent sculptures, 3D works, and urban frescoes (specifically gable-end murals).
  • Performing Arts: Festivals, theater, and street performances.
  • Heritage & Urbanism: Renovation, transformation, or valorization of existing physical elements.
  • Multidisciplinary: Any project that blends creative arts with social or community engagement.

This competition is open to a broad spectrum of applicants established in Belgium.

  • Legal Status: Open to non-profits (ASBL), de facto associations, schools, cooperatives, and private companies (SPRL/SRL). Public authorities/government bodies are excluded.
