The Prix Virginia is the first photography prize exclusively reserved for women. Organized every two years by the Association Sylvia S. in Paris, the prize aims to recognize and support the work of female photographers internationally by providing them with the financial backing and visibility necessary to advance their careers.

Applications are open for the Prix Virginia 2026.
This prize honors the work of a living female photographer, awarding a grand prize alongside recognizing up to 10 other finalists. The jury seeks original, cohesive bodies of work on any subject that demonstrate a strong artistic voice, rather than single images. The prize provides crucial financial support and significant international exposure. (Please note: photography produced for commercial advertising or as an editorial assignment for an article will not be accepted, nor is the prize intended to finance the completion of an unfinished body of work).

Eligibility:
- Who: Open exclusively to living women photographers.
- Age & Nationality: Open to all women, regardless of age or nationality.
- Scope: International.
- Exhibition History: The specific photographs submitted must not have been published or exhibited in France heretofore (however, the artist may have previously exhibited other works in France).
