documenta und Museum Fridericianum gGmbH is the organization behind the periodic documenta exhibitions, founded by Arnold Bode, which first opened in Kassel on July 15, 1955; a total of 15 editions have taken place since then, with documenta 16 currently in preparation for Kassel. The gGmbH unites the artistically independent institutions Fridericianum and documenta archiv, as well as the documenta exhibitions, within a joint organizational structure. documenta 16 is scheduled to take place in Kassel from June 12 to September 19, 2027, with Naomi Beckwith, Deputy Director and Jennifer & David Stockman Chief Curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation in New York, announced as Artistic Director in December 2024. As stated in the source, the non-profit company is owned and financed by the City of Kassel and the State of Hesse, and also receives financial support from the German Federal Cultural Foundation; it is responsible for the documenta exhibition, the Fridericianum, the documenta archiv, and the documenta Halle.

The organization is looking for a well-structured and responsible person to join the documenta team, contributing to the project management, budgeting, and technical realization of exhibition projects as the institution prepares for its next edition.

Position & Tasks
- Collaboration in the project management of exhibition projects
- Collaborating on the budgeting of exhibition projects
- Collaborating on cost tracking and cost control for exhibition projects
- Collaborating on the technical preparation, planning, setup, and support of exhibition projects
- Collaborating on the implementation of tenders, awarding contracts, and invoicing services related to exhibition production
- Collaboration in the management of external service providers in the technical area

Eligibility
- Very good knowledge of contemporary exhibition production processes
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Experience in managing large budgets
- Confident use of common IT programs (e.g., CAD, 3D modeling, databases, MS Office, MS Project)
- Affinity for technology and interest in current discourses in contemporary art
- Initiative, ability to work in a team, and strong communication skills
