Short Description
The Rencontres Artistiques Carré sur Seine is an annual professional event that offers artists the opportunity to develop their professional network and access career opportunities in the artistic field.
Following a call for applications, andtwenty-minute one-on-one sessions, the selected artists present their work and interact with various professionals from the art world: curators, gallery owners, art critics, representatives of foundations, directors of art centres, festivals and museums, etc. The artists choose the professionals – experts they want to meet.
Eligibility
The Artistic Encounters are open to all artists working in the field of visual arts: installation, video, painting, photography, sculpture, performance… regardless of their specialty, age and nationality.
Submission Requirements
- Resume: Please provide a detailed curriculum vitae including your education and, if applicable, your work experience. (Maximum 2 pages)
- The Approach: present in a few sentences your research orientations and give an overview of the process and your work topics… (Maximum 1 page)
- The Portfolio: highlight a set of recent works that are representative of your artistic approach with the explanations you deem necessary. (Minimum 10 captioned visuals – Maximum 10 pages)

_Prix Carré sur Seine│Experts in Artistic Encounters
Distinguished each year, since 2013, one or more winning artists for the singularity and strength of their approaches. It comes with an endowment of 5,000 euros.
_Prix Carré sur Seine│Interconstruction
Endowment Fund The Interconstruction Endowment Fund is renewing its prize and offering an endowment of 5,000 euros for an artist whose expression is linked to a work of sculpture or volume. It is awarded by the FDD Interconstruction jury.
_Prix Carré sur Seine│Curatorial
Perspectives Prize For the 2025 edition, Carré sur Seine will award the Curatorial Perspectives Prize for the second time, with an endowment of 1,000 euros. The winner will also have the opportunity to accompany Dominique Moulon and the Carré sur Seine team in the design and production of the 2025 finalists’ exhibition.
_Prix Carré sur Seine│Experience 4.0
Conceived and promoted by the President of the 2025 edition, Aurélie Deplus. The prize is open to multiple disciplines of the visual arts – still or moving image, sculpture, installation, performance, or hybrid works – and it is aimed at artists whose practice engages the digital, whether in the creative process, the tools used, the materials explored or the themes addressed. It comes with a reward of 5,000 euros.
_Prix Carré sur Seine│ARTAÏS
For the first time, the ARTAÏS Art contemporain association, a platform for the support and dissemination of young creation, is committed to working alongside Carré sur Seine by awarding a production grant for an artist. The winner will be chosen by a jury defined by ARTAÏS. This prize comes with an endowment of 2,000 euros.
