Established in 2024, RONDO is an international artist residency organization located in Mexico City. Set within the industrial charm of an old print factory, the residency is dedicated to fostering production and connecting artists with the local contemporary art scene through strategic partnerships with institutions like Clavo Art Fair, El Paint Lab, Plomo Gallery, and Galería Unión.

Applications are open for the RONDO Residency Fall Semester 2026.
The program revolves around four key pillars: Production, Theoretical, Art Market, and Public Relations. Each week features a specific agenda, leaving ample time for artists to focus on their production. RONDO offers two distinct modalities to suit different needs:
- Live-Work: Artists reside on-site, fully immersing themselves in the creative environment.
- Only-Work: Artists arrange their own independent accommodation while participating fully in the studio and enriching programming.

Eligibility:
- Who: Individual artists across diverse disciplines.
- Capacity: Up to 6 artists in residence at one time (4 in Live-Work mode, 2 in Only-Work mode).
- Language: The working languages of the residency are English and Spanish.
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Workspace: 6 private studios (9 – 12 m²) and a large 120 m² shared communal working space.
- Accommodation (Live-Work only): Private room, shared bathroom, and shared amenities.
- Extensive Facilities: * Fully equipped Woodshop (table saw, chop saw, planer, lathe, router).
- Industrial Sewing Machine.
- Spray Booth / Dirty Room.
- In-house Paint Store with an Experimentation Lab (El Paint Lab).
- Small Research Library.
- Other tools (heat gun, digital/overhead projectors, Dremel, air compressor, digital camera).
- Kitchen, BBQ Terrace, Internet, and Bicycles.
- Accessibility Note: The residency is not wheelchair accessible for the woodshop and spray booth facilities.
Application Fee & Program Costs:
- Application Fee: Free. (The organizers note: "there is no submission fee, and will never be.")
- Residency Fees: This is a fee-based program. The base rates for a 4-week program are $2000 USD (Live-Work / studio + accommodation) or $1400 USD (Only-Work / studio space only).
- Cost Adjustments: Because the Fall 2026 sessions are 6 weeks long, a proportional increment will apply to the base pricing.
- National Artist Subsidy: Partner organization El Paint Lab subsidizes 40% of the residency costs for national artists.
