Short Description
The Romanian Cultural Institute (RCI) is launching a call for applications to offer three scholarships for foreign cultural journalists in 2025.
The research and documentary scholarships for foreign cultural journalists consist in the financial support of a one-month documentation period in Romania to carry out projects aimed at promoting the Romanian cultural phenomenon in the foreign press. Thus, RCI grants scholarships to foreign journalists who propose working on projects reflecting different aspects of Romanian culture. There will be three scholarships awarded annually.
Eligibility
Number of annually granted scholarships: 3 (three)
Areas for which evaluation and selection are organized:
- cultural journalism / documentary film-photo reportage
Submission Requirements
- a) enrolment form;
- b) CV;
- c) copy of the ID document/passport;
- d) description of the research project, which will consist of three pages minimum – taking into account the steps that the research will follow, the spaces which the candidate envisages, the need to carry out this research in Romania;
- e) a portfolio containing articles/recordings of shows;
- f) transfer links containing documentaries, recordings of interviews, and audio format shows – by using transfer links;
- g) a total of 15 photographs, alongside photo albums, which show the interest of the candidate in this area – by using transfer links ;
- h) a letter of recommendation from the management of the paper/radio station/ TV/ association where the applicant is active or was active;
- i) Intent letter (in a language of international circulation)
- j) affidavit stating that all the documents sent are in accordance with the original.
