Organizer Information:
Silver Art Projects is a non-profit organization providing free, year-long studio spaces in 44,000 square feet of light-filled space above Lower Manhattan. The residency is built around sustained practice and real career acceleration, offering direct exposure to thousands of curators, gallerists, and collectors.

Applications are open for the 2026–2027 Silver Art Residency.
Each year, over 25 artists are selected for this year-long program. Residents receive private studio space, mentorship from leading industry professionals, and career workshops on gallery representation and sustainable art practices.

Eligibility:
- Who: Emerging and mid-career artists. Artist duos are welcome to apply.
- International Applicants: Welcome to apply. (Note: Silver Art cannot sponsor visas, but they will provide supporting documentation and letters of invitation).
- Mandatory Commitment: Accepted artists must commit to maintaining an active studio presence—generally 3 to 4 days per week—throughout the entire residency year.

Application Fee & Program Costs:
- Application Fee: $35 USD.
- Fee Waivers: Available for artists experiencing significant financial hardship. To request a waiver, email
info@silverart.orgwith the subject line "Fee Waiver Request — [Your Name]" and include a brief paragraph describing your financial need. (Waiver applicants will be notified of approval by April 3). - Participant Costs: Travel, housing, and living expenses are the responsibility of the artist.
Application Requirements:
The application takes about 5–10 minutes if your materials are prepared. You will need:
- Artist Statement.
- CV / Resume.
- Portfolio: Up to 5 images (minimum of 3). If you would like to include more than 5 works, you are encouraged to upload them as an optional PDF. (Note: Reviewers focus most heavily on the artwork).
