Applications are open for the Still / Motion: Photography Exhibition.

This exhibition explores the polarity between stillness/freezing a moment and movement caught and expressed through photography. Photographers are asked to explore this theme however they wish, whether focusing on one aspect or both—from slowing the world down to capture a fleeting moment, to reflecting internal feelings through technical or creative means.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Open to photographers worldwide.
  • Age Requirement: Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Submission Limit: Artists may submit a maximum of 5 images.
  • Usage Rights: Artists retain the copyright to their submitted works, but grant the gallery permission to use images for promotion, website display, and advertising.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Exhibition: Inclusion in the Solas / Shadow Gallery exhibition.

Application Fee & Program Costs:

  • Submission Fee: Free to submit.
  • Participation Fee: If selected to participate in the exhibition, the artist MUST pay a participation fee based on the number of images selected:
    • £16 for 1 image.
    • £22 for 2 or more images.

Application Requirements:

Submissions must be sent via file transfer sites (such as Smash, Swiss Transfer, or WeTransfer).

  • Image Format: JPG only.
  • File Naming / Strict Constraint: Files must be strictly named using your name and a number (e.g., Ann-Smith1.jpg, Ann-Smith2.jpg).
  • Email Body Requirements: The submission message must include:
    1. Your name and surname.
    2. Your location and/or nationality.
    3. Your social media and/or website links.
    4. A short biography (strictly no more than a couple of sentences).
    5. Titles of your images (if applicable).
