The Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts, founded in 1953 by artist Oskar Kokoschka as the "School of Seeing," offers intensive two-to-three-week workshops on current issues of art production led by outstanding international artists, curators, and writers.

Applications are now open for the 2026 Summer Academy Scholarships.
Each year, the Academy awards a total of around 100 scholarships to international students to participate in their diverse summer course program. The courses cover a wide range of disciplines, including painting, sculpture, installation, performance, photography, sound, and curatorial practice.
