Launched in 2010, the COAL Prize identifies, promotes, and supports artists whose work contributes to environmental transformation and sustainability.

- COAL Student Prize is also available for students from art and cultural institutions

Submission Requirements:
- Detailed project description (artistic concept, connection to freshwater theme, feasibility, and budget estimate)
- At least two visual representations of the project
- CV and portfolio
Selection Process:
- Ten artists will be nominated by a selection committee of art and ecology professionals
- Final awards are decided by a jury of experts and partners
- Non-winning submissions may still be considered for future opportunities within COAL and its network
