The Homiens Art Prize is an international, non-acquisitive art prize open to all artists and art forms. It aims to celebrate and exhibit winning and finalist artists online, providing them visibility to a global audience of collectors, buyers, and institutions. The prize encourages networking, collaboration, and career-building opportunities.

The Homiens Art Prize is one of the highest paying art prizes maintained by an independent art gallery, awarding artists over $12,000 annually. We ensure that 100% of the value that we offer in our prizes is received by artists as cash awards. In addition, ownership of all artworks entered remains with the artist. All entrants are free to exhibit and display their artworks elsewhere.

Our prize is open to all artists and art forms internationally. Artworks completed in any year are eligible, and there are no theme or size restrictions. We celebrate our chosen artists across our media, exhibiting their art online where it is viewed by artists and collectors throughout the world. Homiens sponsors a platform for artists to network and collaborate, reach a global audience of buyers and collectors, gain institutional validation, and locate opportunities in the professional artistic industries.

Information & Application Details:

  • Deadline for Submissions: Thursday, July 31, 2025.
  • Winners Announcement: No specific date, but results are shared after the selection process.

Eligibility:

  • Open to all artists worldwide — no geographic restrictions.
  • All mediums and art forms accepted: painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, printmaking, installation, audiovisual, etc.
  • No theme, size, or completion date restrictions.

How to Apply:

  • Entry Fee: $30 for the first artwork, $15 for each additional artwork. Unlimited entries allowed.
  • Submission Method: Online, through the “Enter Prize” button on the website. No physical works accepted.

Submission Requirements:

  • Artist Biography: Up to 200 words (optional link to portfolio or social media).
  • Artwork Information: Title, year completed, medium, dimensions, and a short artist statement (max one page).
  • Collaborators: Full details required if the work is co-created.
  • Upload Requirements:
    • Images: Up to 3 images per artwork (max 10 MB each).
    • Video/Sound: URL link submissions (up to 30 minutes duration).

Selection Process:

  • Blind Review: All entries are judged anonymously based on the submitted images/links.
  • Jury Panel: Director of Homiens, Kita Das and Ol James, PhD.
