Short Description
The STARTS Award, a creative talent development programme for the military, is once again inviting members of the Armed Forces community to share and showcase their skills in Visual Art. The project champions and nurtures hidden talent and provides an opportunity for individuals to follow their creative ambitions.
Eligibility
The Award is currently open to anyone connected to the armed forces community – current, EX-Service personnel, or Family members (18+)
There are two categories – Spoken Word and Visual Art. You can enter both categories or just one, however, you can only be selected as a winner of one category. There will be up to 5 winners selected for each category.

Program Benefits & Awards
Winners receive: one-to-one coaching and mentoring from creative industry experts; plus group sessions on navigating the creative industries, marketing yourself as a professional creative and nurturing your unique creative practice; plus the opportunity to exhibit your artwork in a professional gallery; plus membership of The STARTS Award Creative Collective open to all past winners and offering a programme of skills training, guest speakers and showcasing opportunities. We are able to contribute up to £100 per winner for travel/accommodation expenses.
