Employee (m/f/d) – University Gallery Coordinator
The Saar University of Fine Arts (HBKsaar) is seeking a motivated and communicative professional to coordinate the activities of its University Gallery. The position is designed for candidates with experience in curatorial practice, exhibition production, cultural management, or arts administration who are interested in supporting the professional development of emerging artists and designers.
The selected candidate will contribute to the conceptual, organizational, and administrative management of the HBKsaar Gallery, which functions as an exhibition venue, educational environment, and professionalization platform. Working closely with students, faculty members, curators, and cultural partners, the successful applicant will help shape the gallery’s annual exhibition program while supporting learning opportunities in curating, museum education, and contemporary art practice.
This role combines gallery management, exhibition coordination, educational support, and institutional collaboration within a dynamic academic setting.

Position & Tasks
The selected candidate will undertake a variety of curatorial, administrative, and educational responsibilities, including:
- Organizing the ongoing exhibition program of the HBKsaar Gallery during academic semesters.
- Coordinating four to five gallery projects during lecture periods.
- Managing additional projects during semester breaks.
- Supervising student staff and exhibition attendants.
- Supporting the gallery’s administrative operations.
- Assisting with program development and strategic planning.
- Supporting the professionalization of emerging artists, designers, curators, and museum educators.
- Contributing to curatorial and exhibition-making processes.
- Participating in university self-governance and academic administration.
- Coordinating collaborations between the gallery and academic programs, particularly in curating, museum education, and art education.

Eligibility
