VIVE Arts (HTC) is a global arts initiative supporting artists and cultural organisations to experiment with immersive technology to create artworks and digital innovation projects. VIVE Arts harnesses cutting-edge technology to transform the way culture is made, shared, and experienced. Since 2017, VIVE Arts has partnered with more than seventy leading artists and cultural institutions on a wide variety of projects. With the aim of building a rich ecosystem for digital art, VIVE Arts explores the artistic applications of new technologies, supporting artists and institutions in the creation of ground-breaking works.
The VIVE Arts Programme department commissions and produces all VIVE Arts projects and programmes. It works with internal teams within VIVE Arts and wider HTC, and with a wide range of external partners including artists, cultural institutions, designers, and developers/studios.
We are seeking a Project and Touring Manager to join our team at VIVE Arts. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the production and delivery of VIVE Arts’ diverse and dynamic portfolio of projects. These include institutional partnerships, artwork commissions, location-based experiences, touring projects, and other programmers
Eligibility:
Essential
- Minimum 5-years experience in project management in arts and cultural sector and/or digital/immersive sector.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with arts/culture sector and digital art mediums.
- Interest in new forms of cultural production using advanced technologies.
- Ability to work with independence, think strategically and creatively, problem-solve, and prioritise effectively.
- Experience of managing and prioritising workload and tasks in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively in collaborative teams, with both internal and external partners.
- Good writing skills and excellent standard of written/spoken English.
- A positive, flexible and collaborative attitude.
- Experience of using MS Office and other relevant IT systems to an intermediate / advanced level.
- Flexible with working with teams across time zones.
Desirable
- Experience with project managing touring experiences/exhibitions and working with international venues.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with immersive/emerging technologies – virtual reality, mixed reality, game design and engines, CG, AI, location-based experiences, motion and volumetric capture, blockchain and web3.
- Knowledge of and/or experience producing digital art exhibitions/experiences in public-facing environments.
- Interest in and ability to travel internationally on occasion

Program Benefits or Awards:
- Probation period: 6 months
- Notice Period: 1 month
- Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
- Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (9-5.30pm), additional hours may be required during specific periods of work.
- Annual leave 25 days per annum (excluding public holidays)
- Hybrid work 2 days in London co-working space (usually Wednesday/Thursdays), 3 days remote
