Overview
Founded and directed by singer, composer, and facilitator Kate Smith, Curiosa Ltd is a UK-registered creative organization with international operations. Emerging from Smith’s early work administering the International Vocal Arts Workshop in Grožnjan, Croatia, the company began running independent projects in China (2015) and Portugal (2016) before officially registering as a company in 2020. Curiosa Ltd curates intensive participatory experiences, workshops, retreats, camps, residencies, and courses centered on music, voice, and multidisciplinary art, while supporting initiatives such as the UK Vocal Improv Collective and The Embodied Voice.
Objectives
Curiosa Ltd aims to bring individuals together across diverse cultures and artistic disciplines to foster self-development, creative community, and regenerative culture. Grounded in the belief that temporary collaborative frameworks can unlock essential personal and creative freedom, the organization seeks to create environments where artists form supportive networks to exchange, experiment, and collaborate. Curiosa strives to cultivate new models of co-existence and artistic practice that participants can carry back to enrich their home communities.
