TCG Gallery

Overview

Founded in 2020 by photographer Vincent Gorlami (Vyncex), TCG Gallery began inside the historic 1888 Bockee Manor—a Gilded Age Chateauesque mansion in Old Louisville, Kentucky, originally built for tobacco broker Charles Bockee and later operated as a 1930s mortuary. After a fire marshal order closed the physical space during the 2021 Louisville Photo Biennial, the gallery transitioned into a permanent, independent online photography gallery based in New York City with roots in Louisville. Today, TCG Gallery is operated by a small, independent team dedicated to presenting curated lens-based exhibitions and maintaining a permanent, open-access public archive of every show.

Mission

TCG Gallery aims to provide a clean, professional, and accessible platform for photographers worldwide to show their work without the gatekeeping or ephemeral nature of social media. Grounded in a “name-blind” juried curatorial model, the gallery seeks to maintain a durable, long-term public record of contemporary photographic practices, honoring its independent DIY heritage by transforming physical space constraints into a lasting digital archive.

Programs / Opportunities

  • Curated Online Open Calls & Exhibitions: Regularly programmed, international juried exhibitions open to lens-based artists working across traditional, digital, documentary, conceptual, staged, and experimental photographic processes.
  • Permanent Public Archive: Every curated exhibition is permanently preserved in the TCG Gallery website archive, complete with full artist credits, artwork titles, mediums, dimensions, and optional sales listings.
  • Global Promotion & Features: Digital exhibition features, email newsletter showcases, and social media promotion across TCG Gallery channels to connect photographers with global audiences.

Target Community

  • Photographers & Lens-Based Artists: Emerging, mid-career, self-taught, independent, and established photographers aged 18 and older from around the world.
