Teatro AlSaeed is an independent performing arts organization based in Minya, Upper Egypt, established in 2014 to expand access to arts and culture beyond Egypt’s major cities. Through theatre productions, training programs, festivals, and community-based initiatives, the organization empowers emerging artists and strengthens the cultural ecosystem in Upper Egypt.
The organization operates an independent theatre venue, training spaces, and a recording studio, providing year-round opportunities for artistic creation and professional development. Teatro AlSaeed has produced hundreds of theatrical performances and educational activities, reaching thousands of audience members and supporting the development of new generations of theatre practitioners.
Among its flagship initiatives are the Minya International Theatre Festival, which brings together artists from across the Arab region and beyond, Teatro Academy, offering professional training in theatre and filmmaking, and community projects that engage rural communities through participatory arts and cultural heritage.
