Tenuta Valente – Arts Villa

Overview

Tenuta Valente Arts Villa is an independent artist residency program located in Capaccio Paestum, within the Campania region of Southern Italy. Situated on a charming villa estate surrounded by the countryside of the Cilentan Coast, the residency sits adjacent to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni National Park and the ancient Greek ruins of the Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia. Operating primarily as a tranquil summer escape, the villa provides private en-suite living quarters and a shared 200-square-meter open studio designed to foster creative focus and peer collaboration.

Objectives

The residency aims to offer professional artists a serene, bucolic setting to cultivate creativity, conduct research, and engage in artistic dialogue surrounded by historic Mediterranean landscapes. Grounded in the rich cultural and natural heritage of the Cilento region, Tenuta Valente seeks to provide an inspiring, unhurried environment where creators can dedicate focused time to their practice, exchange ideas, and establish connections with the local art community.

Programs / Opportunities

• Summer Arts Residency Program: Fee-based short-term stays ranging from 1 to 4 weeks (with fixed booking options), offering private en-suite bedrooms, access to a shared 200 m² studio workspace, swimming pool access, Wi-Fi, utilities, and weekly cleaning services.
• Collaborative Presentations & Workshops: Optional public presentations, workshops, talks, or pop-up exhibitions organized upon request in collaboration with the residency team.
