Millay Arts offers fully and partially subsidized artist residencies at Steepletop, the historic estate of poet Edna St. Vincent Millay, in Hudson Valley, New York. The program provides multidisciplinary artists with time, space, and community to develop their creative work. Residencies are available from April to November, with additional week-long group residencies in December.

 

Information & Application Details:

  • Core Residency (Fully Subsidized): Selected artists receive private bedrooms and studios, access to shared spaces, laundry, a workstation, a B&W darkroom, and libraries. Groceries and communal dinners are provided.
  • Steepletop Residency (Partially Subsidized): For those wishing to schedule their stay in advance outside the blind jury process, at a cost of $4,000.
  • Collaborative Residencies: Two-person collaborations may apply for shared or separate accommodations.
  • Group/Collective Residencies: Week-long sessions for groups of up to 7 people.

 

Eligibility:

  • Open to multidisciplinary artists (writers, composers, visual artists, filmmakers, and more).
