The Liechtenstein Art Museum is an open place for encounters with people and art. As a museum of modern and contemporary art, the institution engages in dialogue with a network of regional and international partners.
To strengthen our dedicated team, we are looking for a
Curator (100%)
In this position, you will work closely with the director and the entire museum team. You will be significantly involved in the development and academic support of exhibitions, publications, and events. You will be independently responsible for individual projects from conception to implementation. You will actively contribute your curatorial expertise to collaborative work processes, including with regard to the further development of the contemporary art collection.
Areas of responsibility
- Development and implementation of independent exhibition projects (monographic and thematic)
- Scientific research, cataloging and presentation of the collection
- Editorial and content-related collaboration on publications (exhibition catalogues, essays, articles)
- International collaboration with artists, institutions and cooperation partners
- Conception and implementation of exhibition-related accompanying programs
- Presentation and communication of the program (guided tours, texts)
- Project management and budget responsibility in close coordination with management and team
- Advisory member of the Acquisition Committee

Eligibility:
- Completed university degree, preferably in art history or cultural studies
- Several years of experience in curatorial work, ideally in a museum context
- In-depth knowledge of contemporary art and current curatorial discourse
- Experience in dealing with collections and their communication
- Experience in team management or leadership skills in the field of curatorial projects or exhibitions
- High degree of personal responsibility, flexibility, structured working methods
- Excellent communication skills, confident demeanor and team-oriented thinking and acting
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills; other languages are an advantage
- Willingness to move to the region
