Short Description

ArtEvol 2025: Voices from the Undefined will select up to 50 artists through an open call to participate in an international group exhibition at Saatchi Gallery, London, in September 2025. The exhibition will spotlight emerging artistic practices that are redefining form, concept, and modes of existence in contemporary art.

The title “ArtEvol” metaphorically represents an emergent artistic movement in a state of flux, formed in the tensions between technology and the body, the self and the other, the real and the fictional. It centres on practices that shift across disciplines, identities, and cultural forms, offering open-ended responses to the complexities of our time. These artists do not seek validation within established systems but continue to voice themselves from “undefined” positions. “ArtEvol: Voices from the Undefined” aims to activate
a dialogical framework that allows these emerging practices to be genuinely heard and equally seen within mainstream institutions, not as exceptions, but as possibilities for the future itself.
“ArtEvol: Voices from the Undefined”, is curated by Nelson Qin, organised by London Art Collective (LAC), and a jury panel composed of curators, artists, critics, and scholars who evaluate the works based on their
experimental spirit and contemporary expression. The exhibition aims to present undefined new creative languages in response to this ever-changing world. It calls for not only fresh visual experiences but also a reimagining of the relationship between art and reality.

Eligibility

ArtEvol is open to individual artists and artist collectives who meet the following criteria:

  • We welcome submissions from individual artists and collectives of all nationalities. We encourage diverse voices and practices across all disciplines and geographies.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older by the application deadline.
  • Artworks can be existing pieces, but we encourage you to submit new artworks.
  • We understand some artists may face barriers to participation due to factors such as disability, gender, age, or ethnic background. London Art Collective welcomes applications from all artists and especially encourages those from marginalised communities.
  • Submissions are open to all media and forms of artistic expression, including but not limited to: Painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, video, sound, performance, text-based art, textile, and digital media.

Awards & Prize

Prizes will be awarded to outstanding works that demonstrate conceptual clarity and artistic impact. The
awards aim to support emerging voices and provide visibility for artists with original perspectives who may not yet have received wide recognition. All exhibited works will automatically be considered for the following prizes, with winners to be announced during the exhibition:
Most Promising Artist Award (3 recipients)
Selected by the 2025 ArtEvol Jury Panel, this award recognises emerging talents whose works demonstrate exceptional creative potential and depth of thought.
Audience Choice Award (1 recipient)
Selected through a public vote held during the exhibition, this award celebrates the work that resonates most strongly with audience.

Entry Fee

A one-time, non-refundable fee of £15 per artist (registration) plus £15 per artwork submitted applies,
excluding VAT (20%). Each artist may submit up to three works.
For example:
1 artwork: £30 + VAT(20%)
2 artworks: £45 + VAT(20%)
3 artworks: £60 + VAT(20%)
