Short Description:
Art Omi: Artists Residency, based in rural New York’s Hudson River Valley, invites applications for its 2026 cohort. The program brings together international artists, critics, and curators for a three-and-a-half-week residency to create, collaborate, and exchange ideas. The residency culminates in an Open Studios event, with additional engagement through a Visitors Program connecting residents with curators, gallerists, and art professionals

- Application: Submit online during the open call period (August 12 – October 15 annually). Applicants may also apply for specific fellowships.
Application Requirements:

Selection Process:

Eligibility:
Artists, critics, and curators from around the world
Minimum 5 years of professional practice (formal education not required; self-taught artists accepted)
Critics/curators must show a track record of professional activity (published work, reviews, blogs, or equivalent)

Fellowships (examples):
- American Dream Fellowship (for first-time US visitors, includes travel + $500 stipend)
- Australia Committee Fellowship (travel + $500 stipend)
- Croatia Fellowship (travel + $500 stipend)
- Every Page Foundation Fellowship (female artist from underserved community, $2,000 stipend)
- Francis J. Greenburger Fellowship (conflict-related art, travel + $500 stipend)
- Unlimit Art Fellowship (artists with disabilities, travel + $500 stipend)
- Additional national/regional sponsorships (Basque region, Kansas City, South Korea, U.S. based artists, etc.)
Critics/Curators-in-Residence: travel grant + $1,500 honorarium, accommodation, and meals
