Short Description
The association Art en Partage, in partnership with the housing authority Seine-Saint-Denis Habitat, is launching an artistic residency at the heart of the L’Abreuvoir district in Bobigny, as part of its urban renewal project. This initiative aims to promote access to culture and strengthen social bonds within the context of the progressive rehabilitation of the housing units.
As part of the rehabilitation operations for the Cité de L’Abreuvoir in Bobigny, an artistic residency is planned at the heart of the district. This project, which will be managed by the Art en Partage association, aims to animate the collective spaces and improve the living environment for residents through the creation and installation of three-dimensional artworks, temporarily integrated into the unique architecture of the neighborhood.
Designed by architect Emile Aillaud and built between 1954 and 1958, the Cité de L’Abreuvoir was awarded the “20th-Century Heritage” label in 2008 due to its original form and central landscaped space. The urban renewal project, which will span several years, will focus on making the neighborhood a more pleasant place to live, with easier mobility, improved public facilities, and quality housing for all. The goal is to become an eco-district by 2030.
The invited artist will develop a project while immersed in the neighborhood, working closely with its residents.
