Organizer Information
The competition is organized by the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) and the Guangdong Shiwan Ceramics Museum. Shiwan, known as the "Ceramic Capital of Southern China," holds a 5,000-year history, making it a dynamic "field" for exploring the intersection of tradition and global contemporary art.
Title & Theme
Field · Boundary (WHERE ENDS BEGIN).
This edition explores "Field" as the material and cultural foundation of ceramics (water, fire, earth) and "Boundary" as the permeability of the medium in contemporary contexts—intersecting with architecture, technology, and conceptual frameworks.
