Organizer Information
This residency program is jointly structured by the Academy of Architecture and the Cité internationale des arts, two institutions with long-standing roles in supporting architectural and artistic research in France and internationally.
The Academy of Architecture is an association recognized as being of public utility, bringing together approximately 350 members, including prominent architects and cultural figures who contribute to the influence of architecture in France and abroad. It is the institutional heir to the Central Society of Architects, founded in 1840. Its mission is centered on the promotion of architectural quality, spatial planning, education, research, and the preservation and dissemination of architectural heritage. The Academy plays an active role in connecting professional discourse with cultural and academic development in architecture and related disciplines.
The Cité internationale des arts is one of the largest and most established artistic residency centers globally. Founded in 1965, it hosts more than 300 artists at any given time in Paris, providing them with studio-residences and a highly interdisciplinary environment. The institution is known for fostering international exchange, cross-disciplinary dialogue, and professional networking in the cultural sector. Residents benefit from both dedicated support and a rich calendar of artistic programming.
