Title & Description

12th Akropoditi DanceFest – Age-Fully-Present (Open Call for Performances)
This open call invited choreographers and performance artists to submit works for the 12th International Dance & Performing Arts Festival (Akropoditi DanceFest) taking place 10–20 July 2025 in Syros, Greece. The central theme of “Age-Fully-Present” focuses on the active presence of the mature body in performing arts. The festival seeks proposals from artists who either (1) include older performers in their work or (2) explore conceptually and artistically the idea of mature age, presence, and embodiment.
Akropoditi aims to foster intergenerational exchange, redefine aesthetic norms around aging bodies, and challenge conventional perceptions of presence, vulnerability, and strength in performance.
