Title & Description

Oklahoma Art in Public Places: Allen Wright Memorial Library Terrazzo Floor Commission
This high-profile opportunity invites artists to design and oversee the installation of a massive terrazzo floor artwork at the Oklahoma Department of Libraries' headquarters. The project encompasses approximately 1,795 square feet located at the entryway of the facility. The primary goal is to create an artistic pathway that guides visitors toward the newly updated public archival area. The design should reflect the library's role as a sanctuary for state records, a hub for digital resources, and a guardian of Oklahoma's historical richness. Artists will have the chance to transform a functional architectural element into a permanent narrative landmark that honors both the library’s namesake and the agency's vital mission of information access.
