Organizer Information

Anibar is an independent cultural organization and annual creative platform based in Peja, Kosovo. Best known for hosting the internationally recognized Anibar Animation Festival, the organization also initiates cultural collaboration projects, workshops, and capacity-building activities that bring together artists, filmmakers, and cultural practitioners from across the Western Balkans and beyond. Anibar works to strengthen cultural dialogue, artistic exchange, and co-production between neighboring arts communities, particularly through partnerships such as with ICSS in Serbia.

Title & Description

Anibar Open Call: Artistic & Cultural Co-Productions 2026 (Kosovo & Serbia)
This initiative invites independent artists and collectives from Kosovo and Serbia to submit proposals for cross-border artistic and cultural co-productions. The call is part of the project “Fostering Sustainable Partnerships and Dialogue: Arts and Culture Collaboration between Kosovo and Serbia”, designed to enhance creative cooperation, strengthen regional networks, and support the realization of collaborative artistic works. Selected co-productions will receive financial support to develop and present their works at cultural venues in both Peja and Belgrade, encouraging mobility, shared artistic practice, and cultural exchange between the two countries.

Eligibility

  • Independent artists and/or artist collectives from Kosovo and Serbia.

Program Benefits & Awards

Each selected project will receive €2,500 EUR (total) to support project realization, which may include:
  • Rent (workspace or rehearsal space)
  • Living costs during project development
  • Travel expenses between partner cities (Kosovo ↔ Serbia)
  • Project materials
  • Miscellaneous overhead costs
Projects are expected to culminate in public presentations at two designated venues:
  • Cinema “Jusuf Gërvalla” in Peja (Kosovo)
  • Magacin in Belgrade (Serbia)
