Organizer Information:
The Lycée Français de Chicago (LFC) is a bilingual international school offering a world-class education to students from Pre-K to Grade 12. The LFC’s Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program is designed to welcome a professional creator to develop an artistic project within the school setting, fostering a multicultural and multilingual learning environment.
Title & Description:
Applications are open for the 2026–2027 Artist in Residence.
The LFC is seeking a creative collaborator to engage with the school community during the next academic year. While the committee is particularly interested in partnering with an artist exploring textile and fiber arts or ceramics, the residency is open to all disciplines (including visual arts, performing arts, digital arts, architecture, literature, and more).
The selected project will be the most inclusive proposal—one that actively involves the highest number of students across various grade levels (Pre-K through Grade 12). The goal is to create a collaborative artistic experience that integrates deeply with the school's pedagogical mission.
