Applications are open for the Artist Residency at LiTE-HAUS Berlin.

LiTE-HAUS offers a 2 ½ week intensive artist residency program and exhibition in May for artists to expand and improve their practice. The ideal candidates are artists who want to find or strengthen their artistic voice while also gaining knowledge about how art spaces operate. This is a self-guided residency. Artists may work from off-site or at LiTE-HAUS, however, artists are encouraged to work at the space as often as possible to engage with the team and fellow creators. Residency artists have the opportunity to exhibit at the end of the residency, although participation is not required.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Artists of all ages, and at any stage of their careers may apply - from students to established artists.
  • Geography: This residency is open to international artists, not just Berlin residents.
  • Language: This residency will be conducted in English language.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Program Inclusions: The program includes work stations, guidance, development, collaboration, critique, and connection with art professionals.
  • Lodging (Optional): Lodging is available at LiTE-HAUS depending on which option you choose (two private rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen, serving as both studio and sleeping quarters). If you choose not to stay at LiTE-HAUS, you must find and pay for your own lodging.

Application Fee & Program Costs:

  • Application Fee: No entry fee to apply.
  • Travel: Travel expenses are the artist’s responsibility.
  • Program Costs:
    • Cost (Berlin Artists): €400 (50% €200 non-refundable deposit due upon registration).
    • Cost (International): €700 (50% €350 non-refundable deposit due upon registration).
    • Cost (With Lodging): €1,900 (50% €950 non-refundable deposit due upon registration).

  • Exhibition: May 28 - 31, 2026.
  • Dismantle: June 1, 2026.
