Applications are open for the ARTIST RESIDENCY IN BERLIN.

LiTE-HAUS offers a 2 ½ week intensive artist residency program and exhibition in April to May for artists to expand and improve their practice. The ideal candidates are artists who want to find or strengthen their artistic voice while also gaining knowledge about how art spaces operate. This is a self guided residency. Artists may work off site or in LiTE-HAUS during the residency. However, we encourage artists to work at our space as often as possible to engage with the team and with fellow creators, to take full advantage of what this residency offers. Residency artists have the opportunity to exhibit in a group exhibition at the end of the residency, although artists are not required to participate.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Artists of all ages, and at any stage of their careers may apply - from students to established artists.
  • Geography: This residency is open to international artists, not just Berlin residents.
  • Language: This residency will be conducted in English language.

  • Program Inclusions: The program includes work stations, guidance, development, collaboration, critique, connection with art professionals, and insight into the inner workings of a culture space.
  • Lodging (Optional): Lodging is available at LiTE-HAUS depending on which option you choose. We have two private rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen. The rooms serve as both studio and sleeping quarters.

Application Fee & Program Costs:

  • Application Fee: No entry fee.
  • Program Costs:
    • COST (BERLIN ARTISTS): €400 (50% €200 non-refundable deposit due upon registration)
    • COST (no lodging): €700 (50% €350 non-refundable deposit due upon registration)
    • COST (with lodging): €1,900 (50% €950 non-refundable deposit due upon registration)

Apply via the official LiTE-HAUS link. Artists are encouraged to submit applications early, since artists could be confirmed prior to the final application deadline if they meet all the criteria.

  • Fee balance due by: April 18, 2026.
  • Residency: April 22 - May 4, 2026.
  • Art installation: May 5 - 6, 2026.
  • Opening/Vernissage: May 7, 2026 (6pm-9pm).
  • Exhibition: May 8 - 9, 2026.
  • Dismantle: May 10, 2026.
