Organizer Information
Artistes en Résidence (A·R) is a contemporary art organization based in Clermont-Ferrand, France, supporting artists through international mobility, research-focused residencies, and cross-cultural collaborations. A·R partners with institutions worldwide to design programs that offer generous time, professional support, and access to local cultural networks. Their model is rooted in artistic autonomy, slowness, and experimentation.
Title & Description
Cross-Residency Barcelona 2026
This residency program is a cross-residency exchange between A·R (Clermont-Ferrand) and the partner institution Homesession in Barcelona, Spain. Selected artists will have the opportunity to spend a period of residence in Barcelona (at Homesession), benefiting from accommodation, studio/workspace, curatorial and technical support, and immersion in a new cultural context. The programme is designed to encourage artistic research, experimentation, mobility and transnational dialogue.
Residencies under this call are conceived primarily as periods for research and creation rather than production-driven residencies — giving artists the freedom to explore, adapt, reflect, and engage with local networks.
