The Embassy of Foreign Artists (EOFA) in Geneva, managed by the LAPS Association in partnership with the Office cantonal de la culture et du sport, is a pioneering residency programme connecting artists with scientific research. In collaboration with Campus Biotech Geneva Foundation, University of Geneva, EPFL, Fluxum Foundation, and various research laboratories, EOFA fosters cross-disciplinary projects that integrate artistic practice and scientific inquiry. Past collaborations have been showcased at prestigious platforms including Ars Electronica, the Geneva International Film Festival, and the Moscow Biennale.

Title & Description

Art&Science Residency Geneva – Imagination (2026–2028)

This programme invites professional artists from all disciplines to collaborate directly with scientific laboratories in Geneva and the surrounding areas for three-month residencies. Through transdisciplinary projects, artists will explore the intersection of creativity, scientific research, and imagination. The residency encourages experimental approaches, innovative visualisation, and novel interpretations of scientific data, culminating in collective publications and interdisciplinary presentations.

Eligibility

  • Professional artists aged 28+ from any discipline (visual arts, performing arts, music, literature, comics, cinema, dance, theatre, design, video, etc.)
  • Demonstrated portfolio of professional works, publications, or performances
  • Open to international applicants
  • Proficiency in French or English
  • Not currently enrolled in basic artistic training
