Short Description
The Art & Science Residency at the Astronomical Observatory of UNamur invites two visual artists or collectives (one international and one from Wallonia-Brussels) to develop a project at the intersection of new media art, science, and technology with a focus on astronomy. Hosted by KIKK Festival, TRAKK Creative Hub, the Delta Cultural Center, and UNamur, the residency provides artists with financial support, curatorial and scientific mentorship, and access to specialized facilities.
Residency Dates: August 25 – September 17, 2025
Theme
Astronomy, exploring concepts like exoplanets, black holes, space debris, gravity, and cosmic phenomena through digital and scientific art.
Eligibility
Open to:
Visual artists working in new media art, art & science, or art & technology
Not accepted: Music, performance art, theater, dance, or other live art forms
One artist from Wallonia-Brussels Federation, one international
